New Releases: Week of July 8- 12, 2019
Angela’s Tuesday Thoughts
Smexy’s Mid-Year Update: What we’ve read, what we’ve loved, what’s up next
Guest Post: Road Trip Essentials by Mimi Grace
Guest Review: A Game of Sins (My Wicked Prayers Book 1) by Zurie Brunelle
Kini: This week has felt like it was 74 days long. But I survived. I read a months worth of books in a week and now I am taking a few days off from reading. I included most of them in my post last Friday. One of which was The McAvoy Sisters Books of Secrets by Molly Fader. It kept me up late Sunday night and made me cry. Highly recommend. I will try to write a review soon.
There are approximately 1 millions books coming out this week and most of them are on my TBR. I haven’t decided what I am going to read next, either Along for the Ride by Mimi Grace or Home Field Advantage by Liz Lincoln. OR I may reject ARCs and read The Idea of You by Robinne Lee (picked it up on sale earlier this week).
What are y’all reading?
Angela: It’s been a hectic (and not in a good way) week so I’m glad it’s over with. I didn’t do much reading this week, so far I’ve only finished Storm of Locusts by Rebecca Roanhorse, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I’m about 25% in Stolen Desire by Robin Lovett and it’s a little different than the first two books in the series. The heroine, Jenie, isn’t just trying to fight off the toxin in the air that causes extreme lust, she’s also fighting her own body which has decided to go into mating mode. The first person she has penetrative sex with is her bond mate for life and her body has decided to pick the worst person imaginable. I’ll have a review for y’all on Tuesday.
I can’t decide what I’ll read next after that. Either Master Baker by Pippa Grant (I love this author) or Ghost Planet by Sharon Lynn Fisher which was rec’ed by Has from Bookpushers. Both are available in Kindle Unlimited.
Have a great weekend!
