Can you believe it’s almost 2022? The last two years have just been one big hot messy blur. I don’t know what I would’ve done without books. I say that in complete honesty, reading has been a lifesaver for me. Less news. More romance, fantasy and adventure. I’m currently listening to a terrific fantasy, A Fate of Wrath and Flame by K.A. Tucker. It’s soooo good! Love the narrator and the story is addicting! Book two is out later next year. I just started reading a few books; The Sweetest Oblivion, In a New York Minute and Nightshade. That’s mafia, sweet rom com, and paranormal. I’m hitting everything this week.
Enjoy this very special Christmas week TikTok post!
#5 I LOVE books, but this is next level insanity. I’m exhausted just watching.
#4 Hello family I only see once a year, please don’t ask me what I’m reading. Thanks.
#3 He looks completely innocent to me, move along.
#2 Pro tip!
#1 Safe travels!
Tell me what you’re reading right now, AND share a favorite holiday tradition. For my family, on Christmas Eve, we go to an early church service, then out to dinner and drive around looking at holiday lights before heading home to give my daughter one present. She always gets the same thing every year, it’s a running joke of new Christmas pajamas. :) Have a great healthy week, be careful out there! See you in 2022!

I’m reading, and quite enjoying, A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske. One of our holiday traditions is to have pizza on Christmas Eve.
Wishing a merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

I just finished an old (2011) Harlequin Presents that I’ve somehow missed in the past decade: THE MAN BEHIND THE SCARS by Caitlin Crews, one of my Queens of Angsty-Heartache. It’s a Beauty & the Beast-inspired story and has plenty of the Harlequin Presents level of angst. Loved it!
We have so many Christmas traditions, so I’ll just share our Christmas dinner (which has been the same since my husband and I had our first Christmas together in 1987): Lamb—marinated overnight in yogurt/lemons/onion—studded with garlic and cooked on the Big Green Egg, Yorkshire pudding (I have all the ingredients coming to room temperature right now), creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Our dessert varies, this year one of my daughters made Mary Berry’s chocolate cake; we’ll be icing it shortly. Yum!
Merry Christmas to all!

We make our own pizza on Christmas Eve. Usually the pizzas are rather free form (I cannot make them round), & this year was no exception.
I am currently reading Neon Gods by Kate Robert. I am just at the beginning but am enjoying it so far. I wish I remember more mythology, which would probably help me with the various characters & their relationships.
