This Week on TikTok

It’s almost summertime and I’m stoked for beach read season! We’re heading to Hawaii at at the end of July and I plan to carefully and strategically plan my books way ahead of time. I’m currently reading Happy Place by Emily Henry and LOVING IT! And, I’m listening to Lost Boy by Christina Henry. It’s an excellent dark retelling of Peter Pan. No romance that I no of, but very much giving me Lord of Flies vibes.  And onto Tiktok…. #5 In all seriousness this guy is a hero. Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok

Its almost the holidays! My daughter comes home from college this weekend and I’m so excited! Social media is a mess and I’m seriously debating leaving Twitter and wondering about how safe TikTok really is, too. While I ponder my existence on those apps, let’s look at the week on TikTok. #5 Someone PLEASE get me one of these for Christmas. I beg you. #4 I detect no lies here. Elmo preach. #3 This just makes me happy. #2 Actual video of me leaving the house each morning. #1 Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok

I hope everyone had a nice long holiday weekend and enjoyed their short work week. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve done a TikTok post. My summer got busy, my daughter is home from college, we got a new dog, yada…yada… Now I’m back. :). I’m almost done with Glow by Raven Kennedy. It’s book four in the Plated Prisoner series and it’s VERY SPICY. I’m also listening to a terrific murder mystery. I highly recommend The Patient’s Secret by Loreth Anne White!!  #5 It’s been quite the few Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok

Holy crap, it’s nearly 90 degrees here today!! We just went from spring to summer in one hot second. On my sweaty mid-afternoon walk today, I listened to Circe by Madeline Miller. It’s great and I’ve got about three hours left before the end. Anything could happen, but Song of Achilles by Miller is still my favorite from this author. I’m also inching towards the finish line on the third book in the Lords of Forsyth series. That review will be a doozy. I’m fanning myself. My book club is meeting Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok

Happy Friday people of book land! I hope everyone had a GREAT week. I’m super happy right now, I’ve been working with a startup and we had a major breakthrough. Yay! Some bad news… my daughter has Covid. She’s going to be fine, on the mend now, but is in college and it was quite scary for her and us. Stay safe and healthy out there everyone!  #1 I learned a new word and will endeavor to use it weekly.  #2 Plot twist #3 I wonder what products she uses? #4 Ah yes…the Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok

Happy Friday! How is everyone? We did our spring break trip to Scottsdale this year and had a great time. I read, relaxed, ate delicious meals and hiked a crazy steep mountain with hundreds of other people. I just started listening to The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout. The book is getting so many negative reviews, it’s sort of heartbreaking! So far I like it. Look for my review soon. #5 New fear unlocked #4 Eight lives left #3 Excuse me sir, I think you mean Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok

Happy Weekend! It’s 80 today in Northern CA and life is good. I’m reading The Words by A. Jade and listening to Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover. Both are excellent! Spring Break is hitting early this year for my daughter’s college and I’m mulling over quick getaways. If you have any ideas- hit me up! #5 Is anyone watching the Olympics? I’m just not into it this time. Except for this…guessing if the figure skating couples are married, dating, friends or siblings. That hand on the back of her head Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok

Happy New Year! Can we still say that? I’m going to believe it’s relevant for at least a few more days. I just finished listening to The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Wow…it was excellent! My fave audio book ever!!! I’m now listening to Josh and Gemma Make a Baby. I’m surprised at how much I’m enjoying it. There are some hilarious moments, almost slapstick, which isn’t usually my thing. It has me giggling like a crazy woman on my morning walks. And, don’t judge me…but I’m reading a Harry Continue Reading

This Week on TikTok- 12/24/21

December 24, 2021 by Jen 3 Comments

Can you believe it’s almost 2022? The last two years have just been one big hot messy blur. I don’t know what I would’ve done without books. I say that in complete honesty, reading has been a lifesaver for me. Less news. More romance, fantasy and adventure. I’m currently listening to a terrific fantasy, A Fate of Wrath and Flame by K.A. Tucker. It’s soooo good! Love the narrator and the story is addicting! Book two is out later next year. I just started reading a few books; The Sweetest Continue Reading

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I hope you’re having a great week and getting some relaxation and reading in between friends and family gatherings. I’m currently listening to The Inadequate Heir by Danielle L. Jensen. It’s set in her Bridge Kingdom world (I LOVED the first two books!) and it’s great so far. I’m also reading The Things We Leave Unfinished by Rebecca Yarros. The hubs and I are on a red-eye tonight to the east coast; my Kindle is stacked with books for the week Continue Reading
