This Week on TikTok

Happy New Year! Can we still say that? I’m going to believe it’s relevant for at least a few more days. I just finished listening to The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Wow…it was excellent! My fave audio book ever!!! I’m now listening to Josh and Gemma Make a Baby. I’m surprised at how much I’m enjoying it. There are some hilarious moments, almost slapstick, which isn’t usually my thing. It has me giggling like a crazy woman on my morning walks. And, don’t judge me…but I’m reading a Harry Potter fanfic that has some Handmaid’s Tale vibes. The book is incredibly long and I’m not that far into it yet. It’s really good and the writing is terrific!

#1 Smexy favorite Tessa Bailey never disappoints.

#2 I ask again, where are these friend groups that have mad dancing skillz? And will they adopt me?

#1 I give you ratatouille. The rat, not the classic end-of-summer French stew.

That’s a wrap! Tell me what you’re reading and if you know how many books you read last year, please share. I read 113 books in 2021. I’m hoping to take that up a small notch to 115 in 2022.

Have a great weekend!

I read 291 books in 2021–this was somewhat higher than previous years (I usually top out in the low 200s) mostly because I was off work for three months with back trouble and could do very little except read. I’m back at work now, so I expect 2022’s total to be back to normal. Right now I’m reading Giana Darling’s BEAUTIFUL NIGHTMARE, book two of her Dark Dream duet (the first book is DANGEROUS TEMPTATION). It’s a guardian-ward dark romance and is part of the multi-author Midnight Dynasty world of rival families who love and hate each other in equal measure.

I read 193 books last year. I really tried to make it to 200, but life was just too busy.

I don’t keep count of books read but definitely over 100. I read five books this past week, so the total might be close to 200.
