Wow. We made it to another month. In Jen DeLuca's most recent e-newsletter she said it felt like March 150th and wow that felt really true. I've been spending the week prepping for a small, intimate and COVID appropriate family event and I feel like I've barely been online. But here are a few things I found to share with you. 9. Hump Day Excerpt: Can’t Help Falling by Cara Bastone
Today we have an excerpt from Can't Help Falling by Cara Bastone, available now. Cara's debut Just a Heartbeat Away was out in June and will be on my list of favorites of 2020. I think her voice is fantastic and is a new auto-buy/read author for me. Here's the blurb for Can't Help Falling. The more you resist, the deeper you’ll fallSerafine St. Romain doesn’t need her psychic powers to know she’s no longer in Tyler Leshuski’s good graces. True, she did tear him to pieces when he asked Continue Reading

DNF Friday- Four Titles I Started but Didn’t Finish
I am pretty selective about the books I read and over the years have really been able to identify books that will most likely work for me. I don't take a lot of chances any more. But even when I pick books I am pretty sure I am going to like them, but these four books did not work for me. And that is okay. Not every book has to be for every one. The Rakess by Scarlett Peckham- I had such high hopes for this book. It seemed like several of my friends were RAVING about it. But I resisted it Continue Reading
SmexyBooks & Bawdy Bookworms present: Over the Moon September Quickie Box
I am Over The Moon to announce a collaboration between SmexyBooks and Bawdy Bookworms. I first met Thien-Kim, the proprietress of Bawdy Bookworms a few years back at a local book event and then asked her to be a guest on my now defunct podcast, Romance Romp. Thien-Kim started her own subscription box that pairs diverse romance novels with an erotic toy and a surprise item. How awesome is that?! When Thien-Kim asked me about collaborating with her on the September Bawdy Quickie box, the first Continue Reading
Kini’s Monday Morning Musings
Happy Monday Friends! I am trying to tackle this week by making some #jefamoves (aka #bossmoves). If you've read You Had Me at Hola by Alexis Daria you may remember that Jasmine talks about #jefamoves a lot. It really resonated with me. I am starting with a list of things I want to get done this week to hold myself accountable. Some of my goals for the week are that I want to walk/run 15 miles this week. Also, I want to get caught up on reviews. I've read/DNFed several books and I want to Continue Reading

Kini’ Friday Kisses- Mini Reviews for books by Kathy Douglass, Kate Meader, Kate Stayman-London, and Sarah Hogle
I'm back with some reviews. Reading and writing about books has been really tough lately. I know this slump is temporary but it still kind of sucks. You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle - I recently felt like I needed a comfort read so I picked this up for a re-read. The book held up on a re-read and it will still be one of my favorite books for the years. On a second read it was a lot easier to see how deeply Nicholas felt for Naomi.
