Melinda’s Minis – His Beauty by Jack Harbon & The Switch by Beth O’Leary
His Beauty by Jack HarbonPNRNovember 17, 2020, Self PublishedKindle Unlimited This is a fun take on the Beauty and the Beast story we've all heard a million times. Yes, Isla goes to rescue her father from the evil Beast and has to stay there in his stead so he can go home. And yes, Isla talks to the servants and is reluctant to interact with the Beast aka Lowen. However, this version is STEAMY. And Lowen stays a beast the entire time. Don't ask me how Harbon pulls this off, because I have Continue Reading
Review: Ties That Tether by Jane Igharo
Ties that Tether by Jane IgharoContemporary RomanceSeptember 29, 2020, by BerkleyAudibleReviewed by Melinda I love reading debuts because I feel like it gives a great glimpse into authors and their writing potential. Ties That Tether is such a strong first novel that I cannot wait to see what else Jane Igharo does. The main theme running throughout the novel is how to deal with cultural differences in a relationship. Azere's family has always stressed the importance of marrying a Nigerian Continue Reading
Review: The Kingdom Duet by Rina Kent
Kingdom Duet: Reign of a King and Rise of a QueenBy Rina KentRomantic SuspenseOctober 29th and November 19thBlackthorn Books, LLC Reviewed by Jen My current addiction is bully romance books. I feel a tinge guilty about it because the behavior in real life would have me screaming “call the cops, this guy scares the crap out of me!” But, since this is between us, I’m confessing my love for this genre. I mention this because while The Kingdom Duet is technically romantic suspense, it is a Continue Reading

And I am here for it. But overall, did I feel that Daddy Crush was lacking something? Yes. In my opinion, so much page time was spent on Karl's feelings for Jerusha, plus the fact that her personality shone through so much - full Continue Reading

Review: Resisting the Billionaire by Allie Winters
Resisting the Billionaire by Allie WintersBillionaire Romance/Contemporary RomanceOctober 22, 2020, Self PublishedARC Review by Jen Allie Winters is a new to me author and I chose this book because…well…I'm a sucker for the billionaire hot hero genre. It honestly didn’t pull me in quickly, maybe it was a bit too precious, nice, not edgy enough for my current reading tastes. I walked away for a bit. I picked up a dark romance book that has GREAT reviews and thought that would get me out of Continue Reading
