I finally got the chance to read Beard Necessities by Penny Reid. It is the second half of Billy and Scarlet/Claire’s story. I was underwhelmed. Maybe I set my expectations too high after absolutely loving the sad story that was Beard With Me. In Beard Necessities, Billy and Scarlet are all grown up and are “forced” into reconnecting. The whole Winston family is in Italy. And for the first half of the book I couldn’t understand why they were there. Then I remembered Duane was there to learn Continue Reading
Smexy’s November TBR
Angela- November is when I try to begin to close out my reading year, wrap up any ARC reviews I missed in the last few months AND finally get to all those books in my TBR stack that I've been eyeing all year. This month has quite a few great releases that I'm looking forward to and I'm also planning to sneak in some books that I've had on my Kindle for awhile. Slaying Monsters for the Feeble (The Guild Codex: Demonized Book 2) by Annette Marie 11/1- I've enjoyed this author since stumbling Continue Reading
Review: Beard with Me by Penny Reid
This book starts with an author's note that to paraphrase states this book is tragic, can stand alone and has lots of triggers. Let’s get the content warnings out of the way first- domestic abuse, child abuse, and animal abuse. Although most of this happens off page and we just read about the after effects. If you want specifics, please feel free to reach out to me directly. I have read every single one of the Winston Brothers books. I have been invested in Scarlet/Claire and Billy Continue Reading
Smexy’s September TBR
Angela: I have so many books on my TBR this month I don't even have room to list them all. LOL. Lord of the Last Heartbeat by May Peterson 9/2- I saw someone tweet about this book months ago and knew I had to read it. A m/m fantasy romance put out by Carina Press, who quite frankly has published some of my favorite reads in the last few years. Here's a line from the blurb: In a world teeming with mages, ghosts and dark secrets, love blooms between the unlikely pair. But if they are to be Continue Reading

Beards, brothers, and bikers! Oh my!Identical twins Beau and Duane Winston might share the same devastatingly handsome face, but where Beau is outgoing and sociable, Duane is broody and reserved. She can't stand him, and she's pretty sure he can't stand the sight of her...But after a case of mistaken Continue Reading

I love the Winstons Brothers. This series loosely connects with Reid's Knitting in the City series and is just as funny and sexy. In here, we meet Beau Winston, Duane's twin and the nicest Winston brother. A mechanic at the family body shop, the new mechanic hired to replace Duane is stunningly beautiful, extremely talented, and a woman. Shelley Sullivan is the new mechanic and sister of Quinn Sullivan from Neanderthal Seeks Human. Shelley is stunning but extremely OCD and socially stunted. Continue Reading

Bounty by Kristen Ashley Series: Mountain Men Romance Contemporary GRADE: B Fans will love Bounty, the seventh installment in Ashley’s Mountain Man series and Deke Hightower’s story. Chalked full of all the things that drew me to this series in the beginning, I was more than pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Bounty. The slow burning romance was very sweet and sexy but this story shines as a contemporary too. Emotionally gratifying with Ashley’s signature humor, camaraderie, Continue Reading
