Give a great Smexy welcome to Jenn Burke who is here today with some ghostly reads. Jenn's new book, Give Up the Ghost released on June 3. If you’re looking for more of that sensation in your m/m reads, check out these five spooky stories. They’re some of my favourites! Who doesn’t love a spooky, ghost-laden story once in a while? When I was writing Give Up the Ghost, I knew I wanted it to hit some of the notes traditional, around-the-campfire ghost stories do. I wanted my readers to Continue Reading

Review: Three Little Kisses by Jenny Holiday
I think I have been hesitant to write about this book because I can't possibly formulate the appropriate words to tell you how incredibly good this book is. It was a fantastic close to a fantastic series. In previous books Gia didn't seem like she would be my favorite. Because I really love Jane. And adored Wendy. But Gia, oh man, Gia blew me away. She's lacking roots. She's struggling with her body. Struggled with who she is and where she fits it. She is a loyal friend. She is determined Continue Reading

#RomBkLove 2021 Day 12: Weird and Wonderful Powers
Paranormal romance is the subgenre of my heart for so many reasons, I return to it when I’m stressed, when I’m happy, when I need comfort...so basically all the time. My theory is the genre and the subgenre you originally grew up reading is the one you subconsciously return to. I grew up reading Christopher Pike and Anne Rice so I love paranormal the most. One of the things I enjoy the most about paranormal books is the different powers they get to utilize. I love to see the unusual talents Continue Reading
Angela’s Tuesday Thoughts
The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E HarrowFantasySeptember 10, 2019 by RedhookARC I had zero expectations when I requested this book for review. Blurb: In the early 1900s, a young woman searches for her place in the world after finding a mysterious book in this captivating and lyrical debut. In a sprawling mansion filled with peculiar treasures, January Scaller is a curiosity herself. Continue Reading
Smexy’s September TBR
Angela: I have so many books on my TBR this month I don't even have room to list them all. LOL. Lord of the Last Heartbeat by May Peterson 9/2- I saw someone tweet about this book months ago and knew I had to read it. A m/m fantasy romance put out by Carina Press, who quite frankly has published some of my favorite reads in the last few years. Lucy Parker’s TBR
Last week at Smexy Angela and I posted our TBR and today we have a special guest, Lucy Parker, to share her TBR with us. Take it away Lucy- We’re rapidly heading towards winter in the southern hemisphere, which will soon mean it’s dark by five o’clock, the car windows will frost over, extra blankets will go on the bed, and I’ll slip on black ice in public at least once. However, there’s no point even pretending I’m gloomy about the changing seasons, because this time of year also means Continue Reading

Mandi’s Favorite Books of 2015
I read 222 books this year, which is low for me, but I overall I had a pretty good year. Thirteen absolute favorites - four of which are paranormal, two m/m, and one that doesn't have a happily ever after (don't freak out!). Here they are in no particular order: Hold Me Close by Megan Hart - Dark, erotic, sometimes horrifying, sometimes uplifting. From my review: Megan Hart doesn’t make it easy – sometimes it’s horrifying. Sometimes it’s really sad. I’m not sure I smiled, but I was Continue Reading
