Review: Tactical Strike by Kaylea Cross
Tactical Strike by Kaylea Cross (Bagram Special Ops #2) March 11, 2013 Military Romantic Suspense Carina Press Reviewed by Mandi I like military romance and really enjoyed Deadly Descent (among other military romances) from Kaylea Cross last year. Tactical Strike features our heroine, Gunship pilot Captain Candace Bradford who is very hard working, very serious and doesn’t have time for the lusty glances that Combat Controller, Staff Sergeant Ryan Wentworth throws her way. Part Continue Reading
Review: Captive Prince Volume One and Volume Two by S.U. Pacat. AKA–Mandi’s New Favorite Series
I received a recommendation to read Captive Prince Volume one and two by S.U Pacat from both Janine at Dear Author and Brie and Romance Around the Corner (and if you follow those two links you can read their reviews). Huge thanks to them, as I’m sure I would not have picked up this series on my own. Before I continue I will say there are some rape scenes and some pretty brutal treatment of slaves in volume one. Was it hard to read? Oh yes. But those scenes have a great impact on the overall Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–March 15th
10. Best thing ever? Why have I never eaten out of the hood of my backwards hoodie? I will now set a goal to eat ALL THE HOOD FOOD. You might not even need your hands. Brilliant. (Link.) 9. I loved Sins & Needles by Karina Hall, the first book in her Artists Trilogy. The author has now released a prequel novella. I’m going to read it this weekend, but from what I hear (and for those that have read S&N) you may actually LIKE Javier after this novella. Which will just spin Continue Reading

The Last Debutante by Julia London (The Secrets of Hadley Green #4) Historical Romance February 26, 2013 Pocket Reviewed by May “You are right that I have come a very long way. I made that journey in the anticipation of a lovely reunion with my grandmother and I imagined something vastly different – a house, a small village. A servant! But I find you in a crofter’s cottage without any help at all, with a wounded, naked man.” Maime clucked her tongue at Daria. “You make it sound Continue Reading
Jessie Lane’s Big Bad Bite Gets A Makeover (Giveaway)
I was lucky enough to read and review Big Bad Bite for Smexy when it first released. I found it to be an enjoyable funny PNR on the same level as Shelly Laurenston with outrageous characters, zany situations, and a steamy romance. Now, Big Bad Bite has undergone a transformation and we at Smexybooks are pleased to announced that Big Bad Bite is being reissued with more content and a new cover. From Jessie Lane's site: We're excited to announce that Big Bad Bite had a Continue Reading
