10. This is the most random Top Ten ever. Weird Dr. Pepper man, sad boyfriends, balancing lizards, a virgin highlander and a sheep with a throat problem. It’s been a weird week y’all. 9. I saw Jessica Clare (aka Jill Myles) tweet this week that her latest book, The Wrong Billionaire’s Bed made the NYT best seller list. So I then thought – wait, why have I never read this series? I enjoy Jill Myles’ voice a lot. So I’m doing it this weekend. There are three out, and many have tweeted Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten- March 1st
10. It’s Friday. It’s time for cat pizza. (Yes, it’s only the beginning of the top ten list and I’ve already resorted to cat pizza. It’s that kind of Friday). 9. Kate gave me the heads up that the prologue and first chapter of Lover at Last can be found at this Amazon UK site. I skimmed it, but I haven’t read it in full yet. It makes it more painful to wait I think! 8. Ilona Andrews has posted an extended snippet (chp 1 and 2) for Kate Daniels #6 aka Magic Rises. They also hint that book Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–February 8th
10. I’m completely obsessed with the Lizzie Bennett Diary videos. Beyond obsessed. Unfamiliar? They are a modern adaption of Pride & Prejudice told in Vlog style. Completely adorable and they capture the book so well. Darcy and his awkward flirting makes me die swooning. There are currently 86 episodes and each one is 3-4 minutes long. We are getting towards the end, as Wickham and Lydia’s drama is now unfolding. *bites lip* This above gif make me smile so much. Yes Darcy – Continue Reading
May’s Top 12 of 2012
Oh how to choose the best books I read this year? I’ve decided to get tough, and I am sharing with you today only twelve books I adored in 2012. These are personal favorites, those that stood out above the crowd. I’m sorry to say some favorite authors of mine didn’t make the list this year (better luck next year, ladies!) and yes, many of my favorites you’re likely to see on other smexy lists this year. Without further ado, here are twelve books I give my hearty stamp of approval and highest Continue Reading
Series: Know When to Walk Away, Know When to Run
By May. Just a few nights ago I sat down to order the Tara Janzen “Steele Street” series as a gift. If you’re not familiar with it – it’s a very sexy, fun, over the top romantic suspense series that has plenty of black ops, twists, intrigue, hot cars, and smexy time. Anyhow, as I went to order I realized that there are eleven books in the series. This made me frown, because I can only recall about five or six that I read and loved. Which leaves about half the series that I definitely Continue Reading
Helpless Females Need Not Apply
By May. As a kid I loved Wonder Woman, and as an adult I’ve already shown my girls that original series as well (and they loved it too). Rainbow Brite, She-Ra, Princess Tiana, Mulan, and now Merida too. There’s a lot of awesome fictional females that rule in this house and for good reason – who wants a helpless heroine? Personally, I will take emotionally stunted, physically disabled, vulnerable, unpredictable, crazy, killer, badass, potty mouthed, super nice, or even insecure heroines but do Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–August 31
10. Do you hear that sound? That is the glorious sound of my children in school. They’ve already brought home sore throat germs but that’s okay! *pours more whiskey* 9. One of my favorite books is Tigers and Devils by Sean Kennedy. It’s just adorable and romantic and I lurve it so. I somehow missed two things – first of all, Tigers and Devils is being rereleased today with a few slight changes and a slightly revised ending (read more at his blog) AND!!! Sean Kennedy is writing a Continue Reading
