News from Mandi: Personal Assets by Kelsey Browning is a cute contemporary featuring a bit of a stressed out and grumpy hero. I do love a grumpy hero. He runs his own car detail business. The heroine runs her own business which empowers women sexually. They both have that entrepreneur spirit, and both know each other from high school. Small town politics come into play and they have to help each other. Their chemistry took a bit for me to believe in it but once it got going I really liked it. And the sexin’ is hot in this one. Review to come.
The Corrupt Comte by Edie Harris is a really well done erotic historical. Set in 1820 Paris, the hero is a spy with a tortured soul. OH he is a angsty, well done tortured hero. The heroine was never touched as a child and has a horrible stutter now as an adult. They are so passionate together. Love. I wish the conflict with the baddie guy had played out a little more grand. But I highly rec this one. Review coming.
Aftermath by Cara Dee is a well done M/M – you can read my thoughts at the beginning of my top ten list HERE.
I DNF’d Say When by Tara West after a few chapters. Did not like the heroine or the tone of the book.
I’m currently reading Explosive by Tori St. Claire. Not sure if I’m on board with the menage yet. I’ll report back. And I’ve started Tempting the Billionaire by Jessica Lemmon. The hero doesn’t act very billionaire-ish but it’s still early. We shall see. I also have Lost to the Desert Warrior by Sarah Morgan to read this weekend and I can’t wait. I adore her voice.
