Hi, it's Tori. Once upon a time, I opened a twitter account. I was a business owner and had learned it was a good advertising medium. After being online for a while, I found I wanted more interaction so ventured into twitter romancelandia and found my peoples. I stumbled upon Mandi while discussing books and a love affair was born. At least on my end. I decided right then and there she was going to be my new best friend. I just had to convince her. When she put out a call for another reviewer, I Continue Reading

Kini’s Friday Kisses
I read some better books in the last week, but my reading is still meh. It is hard to not let the events of the world bleed in to how I feel about reading. Fireworks by Sarina Bowen. (Pubs 11/13) There is a note in the beginning of the books that says “For every survivor everywhere”. Take that as a content warning. There are mentions of verbal and attempted sexual assault in this book. They are strong in this book. It was heavy and at times, it was hard for me to read. But I did mostly Continue Reading
Review: Snowfall on Lighthouse Lane
Snowfall on Lighthouse Lane by JoAnn Ross (Honeymoon Harbor #2)Contemporary RomanceReleased: November 1, 2018HQN When I first got back into reading romance, I read a lot of JoAnn Ross. I love her voice, and her stories were ones that I could count on. Not to say they were cookie cutter, but I trusted that no matter what, it would be a story full of love and even with whatever conflict that occurred, in the end we’d have that HEA. Snowfall on Lighthouse Lane is a second chance romance. Continue Reading

November To-Be-Read
Mandi's TBR: Fireworks by Sarina Bowen 11/13. Tori told me this is fantastic - plus the blurb starts with "Skye Copeland is on paid leave from her broadcasting job after accidentally drawing a pecker on the traffic map. " Ha! Better Not Pout by Annabeth Albert 11/12. She was a "new to me" author this year and I really like her voice. Throw in a holiday theme, and I'm there! The Cowboy by Molly O'Keefe 11/16. Another blurb that is sucking me in! "We have three rules: We never see each Continue Reading
Angela’s Monday Mornings
What I read this week: Tsumiko and the Enslaved Fox by Forthright Amaranthine Saga #1 Fantasy Romance February 21, 2018 by Twinkle Press This book was so very interesting, with world-building and characters so unlike any I've ever seen before. Of course I added it to my TBR list because Ilona Andrews featured it on a blog post and if Ilona Andrews recommends something you absolutely one-click. The main protagonists are Tsumiko, who inherits an estate, a fortune, and a person from an Continue Reading

Once again reading has not been great for me lately. I some life things happening, not bad things, just different things it has been taking up a lot of space in my head. Reading hasn’t been the escape that I need it to be. I hope that things will change soon. Big Stick by Kelly Jamieson- I actually read this last week but forgot that I read it. I think that says something about it. There’s only so many hockey books a person can read before they all blend together. This book was Continue Reading
