Weekly Wrap Up

Kini: I am still riding the high of reading Quiet Man by Kristen Ashley. Today, 8/17 is Bookstore Romance Day. I am doing a panel with Grace Burrowes, Harper Kincaid and Juno Rushdan. I’ve read three books in the last two weeks, that is actually a lot for me. I am thinking about reading an ARC of The Blacksmith Queen by G. A. Aiken. This is a new to me author but Jane, publicist from Kensington, was telling me about this book at RWA. I don’t normally read PNR/Fantasy but maybe I need something different. Has anyone read this author or book?

Angela: I finished The First Girl Child by Amy Harmon and Rise Against by Hailey Edwards and just started a new Lorraine Heath… it’s been a good reading week! I’ll have reviews for all on Tuesday!

Kini, G.A. Aiken also writes as Shelley Laurenstan. I haven’t read the Aiken books, but I have read (and loved) a lot of Laurenstan’s books, especially the Call of Crows books.

I’ve read G. A. Aiken’s books and found therm pleasant reads though the author’s books under her other name didn’t speak to me. I’ll be interested in reading this new book.
