Smexy’s Top Ten–August 19th

August 19, 2011 by Mandi 48 Comments

10. My week – While you read this I’m at the movie Spy Kids 4-D. I think they give you stickers you scratch and sniff during certain parts of the movie. Oh fun. *save me*   9. Have you guys heard of Kindlegraph? It is a really cool thing that allows authors to send a personalized signature to your kindle. If you go to the site it lists the books and authors that are available. Once you sign in with Twitter, you can search for your favorite author. I wish it was broken down into genres Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–August 5th

August 5, 2011 by Mandi 46 Comments

10. It’s August! School starts this month. Not until the 30th but hey, who’s counting? ME. It’s hot, humid and I’ve eaten one too many of my mother’s salted caramel cupcakes (which are OMG amazing and I need to get the recipe from her and share it with you).   9. Okay folks, take a deep breath. Let’s all hold hands and gather around. The news: Ilona Andrews announced on their blog yesterday that there will not be another Kate Daniels book until 2013. Let’s have a collective SNIFFLE. Kate Continue Reading

Hi Nalini and welcome to Smexy Books! For those who may not know much about you, give us a little background about yourself. I live in gorgeous New Zealand, and write the Psy/Changeling and Guild Hunter series for Berkley Sensation. I’m also addicted to chocolate and travel. For excerpts, behind-the-scenes info, and free short stories, check out my website: www.nalinisingh.com In your newest Psy-Changeling novel, Kiss Of Snow, you match a rather young Psy, Sienna who is 19, with a much Continue Reading

Review: Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh

May 27, 2011 by Mandi 9 Comments

Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh (Psy/Changeling #10) Paranormal Romance May 31, 2011 Hardcover Berkley Reviewed by Mandi Favorite Quote: “You sure you want to play with the wolf, baby?” Favorite Quote #2: The crowd was chanting, “kiss, kiss, kiss” when Hawke walked inside. That was when Sienna learned the meaning of the term alpha. Favorite Quote #3: "Scared?" Hawke's smile held no humor. "You should be baby." Then he kissed her and it was no tender exploration, no Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten May 20th

May 20, 2011 by Mandi 39 Comments

10. My Week – Isn’t this the coolest picture of a bubble popping? It makes me smile. Otherwise all I have seen this week is rain. Rain. And wait – rain. And worms. Hubs made me plant some flowers. Pretty sure I touched a worm. I’ll be over it soon. I have indoor hands. They are not equipped for nature.   9. Lothaire News! This is a week old, but I didn’t have a chance to talk about it last week. Lothaire’s heroine will be – Elizabeth Pierce. We don’t know a lot about her. She might be Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–April 8th

April 8, 2011 by Mandi 33 Comments

10. My Week – I’ve made a week as a 33 year old. I’m pretty sure I have excessive eye wrinkles and gray hair now. To make myself feel more youthful I bought tickets to see the Scissor Sisters this June with three girlfriends. Woo to the Hoo!!! I love Jake Shears and Babydaddy something fierce.   9. I am officially going to the Lori Foster Reader and Author Get Together! Taking place in Cincinnati in early June. Some of my favorite authors will be there – Nalini Singh, Shiloh Walker, Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–March 25th

March 25, 2011 by Mandi 36 Comments

10. My Week – My youngest turned five. FIVE! How did this happen? And I swear he had fun on his birthday. The above picture was taken at his preschool and he doesn’t like to be the center of attention. It just cracks me up that he is wearing this huge crown and looks so…pissed.  And I registered him for Kindergarten. It was a hard week to be a mom ;) 9. Today, the Rita and Golden Heart Finalists were announced. Go HERE to see the full list of nominees. Winners will be announced at the RWA Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–March 18th

March 18, 2011 by Mandi 14 Comments

10. My Week – It as been a good week. I ate bangers and mash last night in honor of St. Patrick’s day. Couldn’t find any green wine though.   9. I don’t know about you, but I am having a lot of fun this year with Dabwaha. For those who don’t know, this is like the March Madness Basketball tournament, but for books. It is too late to get your bracket in, but you can still vote and trash talk and campaign on Twitter (which is my favorite thing!) I have a column set up so I can see all the Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–November 12th

November 12, 2010 by Mandi 17 Comments

10. My Week – My week has been full of book jitters. I got an unexpected offer of an arc that made me jittery (I’m not saying what it is…I’m a tease), then I registered for the Author’s After Dark Conference (see below) which made me jittery, and then the cover for Lover Unleashed released – JITTERS. All good jitters, but I’m now exhausted! 9. The cover of Lover Unleashed was released this week. I know I already posted, but it needs to be posted again. Now that I have had a few days to soak Continue Reading
