Smexy’s Top Ten – October 17th

October 17, 2014 by Mandi 8 Comments

10. Does the word Humpkin fill anyone else with joy? I now have Hapenis and Humpkin. My life is complete.   9. Karen Marie Moning showed up at JR Ward's book signing last week. Would have been FUN to go to. Thankfully, Liza as always has a wonderful recap of events on her blog. Highlights: KMM says in Burned, Dani will be "sexually viable" - this makes me snort for some reason. But hey, at least we get some Ryodan sex so all is good. Sounds like Layla and Xcor get hot and heavy in Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – September 26th

10. Red wine glasses are so versatile.   9. Outlander news: Good news and bad news. Bad news first, right? This Saturday is the "midseason finale" (man I hate that term) and it won't return again until....April 4th. What the heck Starz??? Can't we just call it Season two at that point? When did we start breaking up seasons? (I'm looking at you Walking Dead). *big frowny face* Good news, right this minute, (because you all check the Top Ten at precisely 1pm, correct?) Jamie and Continue Reading

10. I'll blog until my phone arrives in the mail. And then I'll forget all about you.   9. Amazon has announced a new Kindle! The Kindle Voyage is the first e-reader to feature a flush glass front. It also has buttons on the side to turn the page, or you can still touch the screen like the Paperwhite. I'm happy for these buttons because touching the paperwhite's screen isn't always that responsive. You can read more of a review here. The Voyage releases in late November for Continue Reading

  10. And this is why I heart Christina Dodd so much.  Mandi often tweets "Bat Signal" when she needs me. When I mentioned that a peen signal was more our speed, Christina stepped up to the plate and delivered.   9.  The internet went insane when rumors flew around claiming Durex was releasing a 'pumpkin spice" flavored condom. Durex claimed pretty quick it was a joke but still...I admit to being a little curious. I think double chocolate soy latte with whip cream and Continue Reading

10. This blueberry muffin looks like a hamster and it's kind of completely freaking me out. I. Can't. Stop. Looking.   9. Hey - One of my favorite historical romances, A Lily Among Thorns by Rose Lerner is being rereleased through Samhain. I really adore all of Rose Lerner's books, and I'm so glad the few she published with Dorchester are being published again. You can read my review here.  She also has a big contest going on at her website. 8. In other book news, there is a new Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – August 29th

10.  That's pretty much the only way to my heart. (also substitute coffee with wine).   9. My weekend rec is The Viper by Kele Moon. The hero has done time for gang related stuff (stealing cars) and the heroine is a high school history teacher. They meet when they are involved in a car accident. He is very gentlemanly and won't leave her until the paramedics can cut her out. He then leaves and goes back to his hometown of Miami. She is so smitten with him that she...wait for it...put Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – August 22

10.  I've survived summer vacation, with only a few trips to Vodka Castle and the Wine Barn *shifty eyes* School starts Monday - I'm broke from buying school supplies, and I have to start packing lunches. (I'm trying not to whine!)   9. Speaking of the ridiculous price of school supplies, Avery Flynn has started a TeeSpring Campaign. I'll let her explain:  It's back to school time, but not everyone can afford the supplies needed for school. All profits from this Look Good, Do Good Continue Reading

10. Saw Kat tweet this last night and it pretty much sums up what I want my life to be. 9. Hey! Moira Rogers has three books, all firsts in a series, for free right now. Crux, Wilder's Mate and Cry Sanctuary. I recommend them all. You can go to their site for the blurb and buy links. 8. Jaci Burton released her cover for her upcoming November Play by Play novella, Holiday on Ice. I'd like to play on that ice if you know what I mean. I'd like to slap some pucks around with his big stick. Continue Reading

10. I've never said "yeth"      *shifty eyes* 9.  Earlier this year I read Indecent...Exposure by Jane O'Reilly (see my smex scene post) and I really enjoyed. It was hot, dirty and awkward. I had kind of forgotten that two more (with different heroes and heroines) were going to be released in this series until Katherine recommended I try book two (thanks Katherine!) These are very short novellas so they are quick reads. Indecent..Proposal was DIRTY FUN. The heroine is very promiscuous, and Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – July 25th

10. Fair warning, I talk a lot about Fifty Shades of Grey in this post. I don't care if you adored the book, I don't care if you hated the book. I just want to see Jamie Dornan nakey. Now excuse me while I watch Jamie walk into a room about 100 times in a row. 9. How about some book deals? All $1.99.... It Had to Be You by Jill Shalvis The Sweet Spot by Laura Drake Duke of Midnight by Elizabeth Hoyt A Rake's Midnight Kiss by Anna Campbell Never Desire a Duke by Lily Dalton The Rogue's Continue Reading
