Smexy’s Top Ten–February 11th

February 11, 2011 by Mandi 27 Comments

10. My Week – Someone just hose me down with some bleach. Rinse and repeat style. Hubs has strep. Kid #2 has a sinus infection and Kid #1 has things coming out of his nose that scare even me. Where does this leave mama Smexy? I’ve slept on the couch for four nights in a row trying to avoid hubs. I’ve bleached and washed this house. And I have to say – A glass of wine a day, DOES keep the doctor away.   9. Thanks to the heads up from Angela James, I bought this “Read” necklace and I Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–February 4th

  10. My week – there was lots of that white stuff out there this week. But apparently Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow. Yay Phil – I’m going to trust you on this one, no matter how disturbing I find the above photo. 9. Need a sneak peek at a anticipated book? You can now read the first 20% of This Side of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. Chloe Neill has also released the first chapter of her next Chicagoland Vampire Book, Hard Bitten. And if you have not read these series, Smexy Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–January 28th

10. My week was filled with snow..we got about a foot. School has been closed for three days. We have built snow forts, snowmen, and have gone sledding. My kids have never slept so well at night! We also spent a night with no power – which meant no heat or water. Have I mentioned I’m ready for spring? Because I AM!!!   9. Cover Alert! Wilder’s Mate by Moira Rogers. This is the first in their steampunk Bloodhounds series. This cover is pretty awesome. Tori will have her review next Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–January 21st

10. I’m sick of snow!!! There I said it. You all knew it was coming. I can’t believe we still have February to get through! It is not like Maryland gets a ton of snow, but we get these 3-4 inches every few days, which closes down everything around here. My kids only had one full day of school this week. Mommy needs her two hours of quiet time during the day! It’s always nice when I start off my top ten list whining and complaining, yes?   9. Coming this fall, Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star. Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–January 14th

10. This week has been crazy. We’ve had snow, school closings, and my oldest son turned seven. He got a spy video camera wrist watch. Why did I think letting my seven year old take secret video footage of me was a good thing? He already knows how to plug the usb thing into the computer too – to download his pictures. Lovely. I will never introduce him to youtube. Worse – my Mother In-law bought him one too..so now my 4 year old wears the extra. There is nowhere to hide in my house. 9. Nalini Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Six–January 7th

January 7, 2011 by Mandi 25 Comments

6. That’s right – I’m starting the New Year off with a top ten FAIL. I wasn’t prepared for a top ten list today! I have my excuses – I haven’t posted one in two weeks so I forgot. School was delayed for one snowflake falling so the kids distracted me. Maybe the real reason is because I have been sitting in my new hot tub all day and night oblivious to the world around me? Yes, my hot tub is no longer sitting upright in my driveway! It is wired! Full of hot, steamy water! So what if it is 22 Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–December 16th

December 17, 2010 by Mandi 20 Comments

10. My week – It’s cold here y’all. I mean, Maryland gets cold weather, but it hasn’t reached 30 degrees all week. And the wind, oh the wind. I told Tori I’m moving south to her house – she better be ready!   9. This week I saw Kati, from Katidom tweeting about how much she loved Liberating Lacey by Anne Calhoun. She then posted her review, which sealed the deal for me. I bought it and started it right away – I have no control! Hands down, this is the BEST erotic I have read this year Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–December 10th

December 10, 2010 by Mandi 30 Comments

  10. My Week – Big news…BIG news..the hot tub is no longer in my driveway. It is now in my backyard. Still vertical..and still wrapped in plastic. But, we have an electrician and crew scheduled to come out next week so there is hope! I am still convinced that when we actually tip hot tub over into proper position it will disintegrate into dust or something, but I will try to stay optimistic.   9. I am now a member of the DIK (Desert Island Keeper) Blog! They are a really fab Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – December 3rd

December 3, 2010 by Mandi 26 Comments

10. You guys! I took the above picture! That’s right…I was about ten feet away from Brandon Flowers Saturday night in Atlantic City. Yes, I made hubs stand in line for five hours. No, I did not throw my unmentionables at him. No, I did not shout “You are a smexy beast.” Hubs was standing right next to me. It was an awesome show – even hubs, very begrudgingly said he liked it. The San Diego band Transfer opened for him and Hubs actually loved their stuff. It was good times. Hubs lost hard on the Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–November 19th

November 19, 2010 by Mandi 27 Comments

  10. My week: I love this time of year. One kid came home in a pilgrim hat, another in an indian headdress. And they are young enough to want to wear them…constantly. Today, as this posts, I will be at the preschool fire station field trip. Mmmmm….firefighters. I mean – we will be there to learn about fire safety! (psst – I’ll sneak a pic!) 9. This week, I received a little gift in the mail from Julie (Yummy Men, Kick Ass Chicks) – Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning. Julie read it and Continue Reading
