September 3, 2010 by Mandi 30 Comments

10. My week – I had a great time in NYC watching Brandon Flowers introduce his solo album!!! I MAY have come home without my license and credit card, I MAY have cracked my iPhone screen (again), Hubs MAY have given me a stern lecture about being a responsible 32 year old. All of these things MAY have happened. I can not confirm at this time. 9. Hide-a-Cover – I recently received the above book cover for a little review. Hide-a-Cover is a site that offers to cover-up all those smutty, half naked Continue Reading

10. I’m typing this up on Wednesday, so at this point I am greatly anticipating going to New York on Thursday to see my boo, Brandon Flowers perform at the Highline Ballroom.  As you read this, I am on a train coming home from my stalking trip. Who knows – I may have fainted from his sexiness.  I went with my friend Jessi who thought she new the extent of my obsession – but after attending a concert with me, we shall see if she still wants to be friends. HA! In next week’s top ten I Continue Reading

August 20, 2010 by Mandi 29 Comments

10. My week – The beginning was peaceful – kids went swimming, I got a lot of reading time in. Now we are dog sitting my mother inlaw’s Dalmatian. My house is made for my little, half-crippled pug – not for a large dog! Last night hubs took a block of cheese out of the refrigerator and put it on the kitchen counter. He turned around and the cheese was gone. *shakes fist* I like cheese! 9. Jeaniene Frost is holding an early contest to win an ARC of This Side of the Grave, Cat and Bones #5. To Continue Reading

10. My week – It was actually a quiet week. I survived our long weekend in Intercourse, PA ;) My six year old discovered the thrill of roller coasters while away, which makes me very excited. Now we are home for a few weeks, before we go camping with Yogi Bear. I’m scared. 9. Dorchester has announced starting in September, all of their books will be released as E-Books first, followed by trade paperback 6-8 months later. It sounds like all of their scheduled books will still release as planned, Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – July 23rd

July 23, 2010 by Mandi 30 Comments

10. My week – I survived enjoyed vacation last week with the family and in-laws. My kids would live IN the ocean if I let them. The only drama we had was not at the beach, but back in my house. My hamster escaped. The poor high school boy in charge of my pets went into melt down mode. So what did I do? Called my mom! Who called my sister in-law, Shay. I owe her big time. Shay crawled around on her hands and knees inside my house and she miraculously heard the damn hamster IN the vent in my son’s Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – July 9th

July 9, 2010 by Mandi 15 Comments

10. My Week – I survived camping y’all! We had a skunk that would come stare at us every night, but he never sprayed ;) Fun times at 2am when the boys had to go to the bathroom – sorry, kids, we can’t scare the skunk that is lurking outside! I think he was a were-skunk waiting for my hubs to leave so he could transform into a SMEXY DUDE. Unfortunately, hubs didn’t leave.9. Harper Collins is coming to NetGalley. 10. My week – Saw Eclipse with all my girlfriends, celebrated ten years of wedded bliss, and we are going camping this weekend. Because I actually had a life this week, I didn’t get a lot of reading time in. See #6. But don’t fear – I shall become a hermit once again next week!9. Fun news on the J.R Ward front - Merchandise – Per her message boards she is in the early stages of developing T-shirts, mugs etc. Y’all know my bank account is in trouble. When I brought it up on Twitter, everyone came Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – June 18th

June 18, 2010 by Mandi 20 Comments

10. My week – I’ve been sick and our deck is still demolished. On a good note, as you read this hubs and I have whisked ourselves away for a long weekend. We are having a pre-celebration of ten years of wedded bliss which becomes official this July. At this moment, I’m most likely in a hot tub with a glass of wine (from a box in a plastic cup!)9. Brace yourselves – Karen Marie Moning has stated she is pushing back the date of her final book in her Fever series, Shadowfever. The new release date Continue Reading
