Review: Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven

September 24, 2018 by Angela 1 Comment

Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven Fallen Empire #1 Fantasy Romance September 25, 2018 by Ace Favorite Quote: "Stay with me, Gilene," he whispered in her ear. "I can't," she murmured, still half asleep. "I will conquer all of the Empire to bring you back."   Reviewed by Angela This was probably my most anticipated book this year. If you were to ask me to make a list of my favorite fantasy romances of all time, Grace Draven would have four or five titles in my top ten. She Continue Reading

Review: A Notorious Vow by Joanna Shupe

A Notorious Vow by Joanna Shupe The Four Hundred #3 Historical Romance September 25, 2018 by Avon Reviewed by Angela: The entire time I was reading this book I had this overwhelming feeling of sadness and dread. I've enjoyed this author previously, so when I saw this up for review I didn't even read the blurb, I just hit the request button. I wasn't prepared. You see the hero in A Notorious Vow is deaf, and I grew up in a partially deaf household. I know the stories of how my father was Continue Reading

Angela’s Monday Mornings

September 24, 2018 by Angela 1 Comment

Happy Monday! What I read this week: Last Night with the Earl by Kelly Bowen The Devils of Dover #2 Historical Romance September 25, 2018 by Avon Favorite Quote: "Save your shiny armor and white horse for something better than my sensibilities." This was such a lovely romance. The hero, Eli Dawes, Earl of Rivers, rides off to war a cocky, young rake and returns home many years later a broken, wounded man. He would have rather disappeared and never returned at all, but when his Continue Reading

Kini’s Friday Kisses

September 21, 2018 by Kini 2 Comments

I finished Faking It by Jennifer Crusie and it was everything I needed it to be. Fast paced dialogue, zany characters, an excellent cast of characters, and just enough poor babys. I love the bad sex, or rather I should call it uncompleted sex. Crusie does this often in her books and I am always here for it. There are a few things in the story that are a bit dated, but overall holds up well. Grade: AGoodreads l Amazon Several of the Smexy ladies have read Intercepted by Alexa Martin and Continue Reading

Review: Saddle Up by A.M. Arthur

Saddle Up by A.M. Arthur (Clean Slate Ranch #3)Released: September 17, 2018M/M RomanceCarina Press Reviewed by Mandi Although there are some darker subject matters in this book, I still found it to be a very sweet, and feel good book. And with that being said, I also found it a little hard to get totally engaged - as everything was just too predictable...and well...a little too sweet. (Am I a jaded and bitter reader????) Miles is a sous chef with an obsessive, stalker ex-boyfriend. This Continue Reading

Helyce’s Thursday Thoughts

Kiss The Girl by Tara Sivec (Naughty Princess Club #3)Contemporary RomanceSeptember 4, 2018Swerve This series follows the lives of 3 women who meet each other at a party, find out they have much in common, form a strong bond of friendship and start a business together. In this third installment, we get Ariel and Eric’s story.  We’ve watched them butt heads at every opportunity--their chemistry obvious to the reader--a weird kind of foreplay that never leads anywhere. Ariel is has been Continue Reading

Seven Smexy Reasons to read Rebel Hard by Nalini Singh!

September 19, 2018 by Sheena 3 Comments

Rebel Hard by Nalini Singh Hard Play, #2 9/18/2018 TKA Distribution Review by Sheena You guys. Whatever the lung friendly equivalent to smoking a cigarette is, I'm totally doing it. Because how else do you cap off the reading of such a fulfilling, romantic, decadent, beautiful love story?  You see, Rebel Hard was destined to be devoured. Not just because Singh is an auto-read, not just because the cover  is yum. The blurb folks; the synopsis sang a siren's song to all of my reader senses. Continue Reading

Sheena’s Wistful/Wanton Wednesday!

September 19, 2018 by Sheena 3 Comments

Happy Hump day to all my randy readers! Today's lovey/lusty offerings are once again from Annika Martin, because- smexy!  After reading and raving over Martin's Billionaire's Wake-Up Call Girl,  I received a rec to check out the preceding novel, Most Eligible Billionaire and I'm soo glad I  did. I’m Vicky, the dog whisperer. (Not really, but that’s what my elderly neighbor always says.) When she dies, she surprises everybody by leaving a corporation worth billions to her dog, Smuckers. With me Continue Reading
