Mandi’s Top 20 30 books for 2010 I am listing them in order that I read them this year. Okay, so I told Tori to name her top 20 and then cheated and included 30 instead of 20. I couldn’t cut any. *clings to list* Some are 2009 releases that I read this year, some I’ve grouped into series because multiple books in one series were released this year. Here we go! Lead Me On by Victoria Dahl – Chase is one of the HOTTEST heroes I have read this year and I love Victoria Dahl’s style. Elemental Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten – October 22nd
10. My Week – I went to the pumpkin patch for the last time on a preschool field trip (next year my youngest will be in Kindergarten). It was kind of bitter sweet but so much fun. Four year olds are a crazy bunch :) I am no longer acknowledging the hot tub that is sitting in my driveway. We now are handing over our life savings to an electrician who needs to install a complete new electrical system in our house. And there is talk of a contractor….*weeping* ;) 9. This morning I Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten – September 24th
10. My week – Geez, nothing happened this week. We’ve fallen into a boring fall routine, which honestly is just fine with me. Kids go to school, I get caught up in reading and forget to buy milk or do the laundry, hubs sighs and rolls his eyes. Yep – normal stuff around here ;) And for those keeping score at home – the hot tub is still sitting in our driveway. 9. The cover for Night Magic by Jennifer Lyon has been released. This is the third book in her Wing Slayers series. A very fun Continue Reading
Review: Life After Joe by Harper Fox
Life After Joe by Harper Fox M/M Romance June 28, 2010 EBook Carina Press Why I read: Two of my favorite authors LB Gregg and Josh Lanyon both recommended this book. Favorite Quote: …and when I returned the embrace in kind – hesitantly, because something about him made me shy, even after my recent performances – he smiled against my ear. Ah yes. Matthew is no longer with the love of his life, Joe who left him for a woman, and he is not handling it well. He spends his days Continue Reading
Favorites of 2010…So Far
Since it is the middle of the year, and I am slightly obsessed with making lists, I thought it would be fun to visit my favorite reads of the first half of 2010. These are in no particular order. Spiders Bite and Web of Lies by Jennifer Estep – This series has fast become one of my favorite UF series out there. Dark, violent, and sexy – I can’t wait for Venom in September. Crossroads by Moira Rogers – Paranormal romance at its best. Read book one, Crux first to get the full experience. Continue Reading
Four Dudes, Two DNF’s
I have DNF’s or "Did Not Finish" books sometimes, and last week it happened to be two M/M romances. First up, The Dark Farewell by Josh Lanyon. I made it about halfway through the books and by no means is it written poorly. I think it is a combination of the subject matter and the love interest of the hero that turned me off. It is the story of David Flynn, a reporter who visits a small mining town where a massacre occurred the previous year. There is much background into the tragedy that took Continue Reading
Review: Tigers and Devils by Sean Kennedy
Tigers and Devils by Sean Kennedy March 9, 2009 M/M Romance Paperback, 376 Pages Dreamspinner Press Reviewed by Mandi Why did I read: See below Favorite Quote: His pinky finger stretched out and stroked the back of my hand. I stood there and let him do it. I wondered briefly if it made me slightly pathetic to find it extremely sexy, but I decided to go with it. The first time I saw Tigers and Devils reviewed was on Well Read last year. At the time I thought, I definitely need to Continue Reading
Smexy’s Ten Favorite Sex Scenes of 2009
I couldn’t properly call this blog Smexy Books without talking about my favorite naughty scenes this year – and oh have our authors been naughty. Let’s face it – I have read a lot of sex this year, and there have been many scenes that have made me turn the fan on extra high. It was hard but I picked out my ten favorite, and I am just giving you a quick taste of the lovin’ going on. I not only chose them for their downright dirty talk, but also because I fell in love with the book and the Continue Reading
Smexy’s Favorite Books of 2009
(You didn't think I would have a year-end post without Brandon Flowers, did you?)2009 was a busy year for me. I started the year obsessed with the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton, which I still feel is one of the best series I have read (at least the first dozen books.) From there I discovered Nalini Singh and Colleen Gleason, two more favorites of mine. And then on March 23, 2009 I sat down at my computer and went to blogger.com. I stared at my screen and thought, oh, I like the name Continue Reading
