Reviewers
Smexy Books was created in March of 2009 and reviews all genres of romance and urban fantasy. We currently have five reviewers: Angela: I'm a lifelong reader. I remember hiding under the covers with my flashlight as a small child so I wouldn't get in trouble for reading after bedtime. Even then I was reading books that I probably shouldn't have been for my age group... Grimm's fairy tales and biographies about Eleanor Roosevelt and Rosa Parks. In middle and high school I began my romance Continue Reading

Mandi and Tori’s Top 20 Books for 2010
Mandi’s Top 20 30 books for 2010 I am listing them in order that I read them this year. Okay, so I told Tori to name her top 20 and then cheated and included 30 instead of 20. I couldn’t cut any. *clings to list* Some are 2009 releases that I read this year, some I’ve grouped into series because multiple books in one series were released this year. Here we go! Lead Me On by Victoria Dahl – Chase is one of the HOTTEST heroes I have read this year and I love Victoria Dahl’s style. Elemental Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–November 5th
10. My week – Hubs was in Vegas all week – I know, so unfair. I did sweat a bit because my “boyfriend” Brandon Flowers lives in Vegas. Can’t have the two of them running into each other. And hubs doesn’t act so kindly when I suggest he do a little stalking for me. Oh hubs. And yes, the hot tub is still in our driveway. I don’t even notice it anymore. Sad. 9. Cover Alert! Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews – book five in their Kate Daniels series. I….can’t….wait…for this book!!! I don’t love the Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten – October 15th
10. My Week – It’s been a nice week. Kids have off school today and How to Train Your Dragon is out on DVD. So in the words of Rose from Ilona Andrews’ On The Edge - “Go brush your teeth, comb your hair, put on dry clothes, and get the guns. We're going to Wal-Mart." 9. Cover alert! Sydney Croft is the pen name for the writing team of Larissa Ione and Stephanie Tyler. Taken by Fire will be the final book in their ACRO series. Hello waterfall sex! I always say desk sex is my favorite Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten – October 8th
10. My week – Hmmm..what did I do this week. I took my MIL to a wine bar for the first time. (for her, not for me..HA!) And I bought tickets to see Brandon Flowers in Atlantic City. It’s a win win for me and the hubs – he loves AC, and I love…well…you know who. ;) Hot tub update - We now realize the brick patio the hot tub is going to be sitting on needs to be supported with concrete. Maybe 2012 we will actually be able to use the thing? 9. Look at this new pretty book coming out in Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten – October 1st
10. Hey! It’s October. September ended with us getting a ton o’rain and all the schools closing because of flooding. Maybe October will be nicer to us. My week has consisted of me sneezing and coughing. And for the big news – wait for it – the hot tub is still sitting in our driveway. ;p. I did peek in and the crickets seem to be hopping around enjoying themselves. I’m sure small animals will hibernate inside the tub this winter. I’m really happy that I’m providing a nice dry spot for nature to Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten – September 24th
10. My week – Geez, nothing happened this week. We’ve fallen into a boring fall routine, which honestly is just fine with me. Kids go to school, I get caught up in reading and forget to buy milk or do the laundry, hubs sighs and rolls his eyes. Yep – normal stuff around here ;) And for those keeping score at home – the hot tub is still sitting in our driveway. 9. The cover for Night Magic by Jennifer Lyon has been released. This is the third book in her Wing Slayers series. A very fun Continue Reading
