Kini’s Friday Kisses
I am back on land and still recovering from the cruise I went on. 7 days away is fantastic and I need to do it more often. I hope to go through my pictures and post some this weekend. But I can tell you that Bermuda is absolutely beautiful. My reading goal for my vacation was 4 books. I sort of made that goal when I combined in the extra day off I took from work to recover. Here are the books I read: Butterface by Avery Flynn- I was worried bout the premise of this book and felt it had Continue Reading
Review: Desperate Girls by Laura Griffin
I love Laura Griffin's romantic suspense books. Maybe a little light on the romance, but she writes creepy suspense and crime so well. I never get bored with crime scene details or detective work. Her books are fast paced and full of intrigue. In Desperate Girls, we have a high-powered defense attorney, Brynn, who is looking to get a young adult off of murder charges - a murder she truly believes he did not commit. She has to travel with her co-worker Ross to Dallas, to attend the trial. Continue Reading
Helyce’s Thursday Thoughts
Hello fellow readers! This last week has been fraught with negativity in the land of romance. I think I’ve experienced every emotion there is. I have loved reading for as long as I can remember. I loved reading so much, I’d sneak into the library at recess. My parents got a call one day from my school because I hadn’t returned to the classroom and they couldn’t find me. Guess where I was? I was in the school’s library, sitting cross-legged on the floor between the bookshelves...happily reading Continue Reading
Sheena’s Wistful/Wanton Wednesday & Sneak Peek!
Happy Hump Day! I hope you are in the mood for a little swoony/smexy interlude, because my pick for this week is a controversial and sexy doozy. I’ve been on a bit of an experimental kick where I am consciously deciding to read a trope that would normally repel me. Blurbs that ring my warning bells, being em on. Red flags waving? Yooo hooo, over here! I’m exploring this space because I was becoming bored with the same ole reading. Enjoyable, but bored and what better way to break up the Continue Reading
Guest Author: Kelly Jensen
Yesterday, Angela posted a review of Kelly Jensen's new book, To See the Sun, and really enjoyed it! Today Kelly is here to give us a little more glimpse into her world. Survival is hard enough in the outer colonies—what chance does love have? Life can be harsh and lonely in the outer colonies, but miner-turned-farmer Abraham Bauer is living his dream, cultivating crops that will one day turn the unforgiving world of Alkirak into paradise. He wants more, though. A companion—someone Continue Reading

Angela’s Monday Morning Reflections- 8/13
Happy Monday y'all, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! What I read this week: To See the Sun by Kelly JensenM/M Sci/Fi RomanceAugust 13, 2018 by Riptide Favorite Quote: "I want to show you everything. One day, I'm going to show you everything." This is probably one of the most low-key science fiction romances I've ever read. I anticipated a whole lot of angsty conflict after reading the first chapter, but.. there really wasn't too much. The Continue Reading
