Smexy’s Top Ten–April 20th

April 20, 2012 by Mandi 39 Comments

10. I love shoes, but I need a shirt that says, I <3 Books, Booze and Boys with Tattoos. Ha! But THIS shirt is awesome. 9. The cover is now out for K.A. Mitchell’s August release, But My Boyfriend Is. No blurb yet and yes I know August is so far away. This is #4 in her Florida series – which can be read as stand alones, but I adore this series and if you haven’t read it yet, get going! I suggest starting with Collision Course (book #2), then read No Souvenirs, and then go back to book #1, Continue Reading

10. I survived a week at Disney. Just barely. I had never been, so I didn’t know what to expect. I knew my kids would love it, but I was surprised to discover how much I loved it. The “It’s a Small World Ride,” – that is me. I want to live in there and be a hula dancer. I’m not kidding. Highlights for my kids – Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Harry Potter at Universal (we drank Butter Beer!), and they loved everything at Animal Kingdom. So much fun, however, I now need a vacation to Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten

April 6, 2012 by Tori 36 Comments

Mandi is still getting drunk, I mean, on vacation at Disney so it's just you and me today. Last I heard she was drinking Grey Goose slushie's in France at Epcot. You go girl!  I am so thrilled I was able to meet Mandi and her family this week. They are all so adorable. She is just like I imagined and if I could, I would  kidnap them all and make them stay here in FL with me. :) But I hear that's frowned on by the law so I shall restrain myself.   10. KT Grant, author and fellow Continue Reading

Mandi is drunk, I mean, on vacation, so I will be doing this week’s and next week’s Friday Top Ten List. Woo to the hoo. 10. I love ramen noodles. I don’t care if they are called the poor man’s asian noodles, these things rock and the Ramen Rater seems to agree. They have a blog that does nothing but talk and rate ramen noodles about ramen noodles. Zomg. 9. Are you a Harry Potter fan? Well, the long wait is over. You can now download and read the whole series on your e reader. SQUEEE!!! Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten March 23–Third Anniversary Edition

March 23, 2012 by Mandi 34 Comments

Smexy is three today! It seems like I’ve been doing this a lot longer. LOL. But is has been three very fun years. In this past year, we have had the addition of May and Helyce, and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate them and of course Tori! Since the anniversary falls on a Friday this year, I thought I would go back through all of my top tens, and post my favorite top ten moments from all of my lists.   10. August 20, 2010 – I was still obsessed with True Blood Continue Reading

10. Put ‘em up!! And proceed carefully through this top ten. (PS – the very top of this picture could be a dangly? A shadow? Probably best not to look too close) (Source – awesome tumblr, nsfw)   9. JR Ward is putting up daily quotes from Lover Reborn (out 3/27) on her Facebook. Her latest: As everything went dark, Vishous dematerialized on top of the guy, taking him down and grinding his face into the tile. "I'm going to kill you now-" "No," Wrath ordered. "Not until we know Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–March 9th

10. This is my “fun read” this week, St. Nacho’s by ZA Maxfield. I think the only other story I’ve read by her is her short in a Carina Press holiday anthology (which I liked). I met her at AAD last year she is a lot of fun. I’m excited to finally be starting this book. Any other ZA Maxfield recs? 9.Cute picture for a shirt, yes? This and many other book related products can be found at a site called, Gone Reading. In their words: Gone Reading International LLC, a philanthropic enterprise Continue Reading

10. In case you were worried. (source)   9. Nalini Singh released the cover for her next Guild Hunters book, Archangel’s Storm. This will be Jason’s book. OH BABY BABY. Smexy is excited. If you click on the picture, it will enlarge it and you can see Jason’s face tattoo. Oh yes. You bring those big black wings right over here, you smexy angel. Blurb: With wings of midnight and an affinity for shadows, Jason courts darkness. But now, with the Archangel Neha’s consort lying murdered Continue Reading

Smexy’s Top Ten–February 24th

10. Oh wait, we aren’t suppose to have wine with breakfast? 9. Yes, that is a cartoon picture of Ilona Andrews with horns. I didn’t make it! She has it on her blog. I used it because the cover of Gunmetal Magic has not yet been released, but they have put chapter one on their blog! This will be Andrea’s book (in the Kate Daniels world – we are not getting a Kate Daniels book in 2012. It’s okay, we can all hold hands and cry a little together) No, I’m excited for this book – I really like Continue Reading

10. I’m so ready to buy spring clothes and shoes! Have you noticed a big trend this spring is colorblocking? I keep seeing shoes like this.. Do I need a purple colorblock shoe? DO I? 9. All About Romance posted the results of their Annual Reader Poll. Favorite Romance Book – The Black Hawk by Joanna Bourne. I adored this book, you can read my review here. There are many categories, (best pnr, best romantic hero, etc..) so go check them out. I think I agree with most of the results! Yay! 8. Continue Reading
