10. Last night I had the Chocolate Xtreme Blizzard from Dairy Queen. I have yet to recover. Chocolate ice cream, chocolate shavings and big bites of brownie. I may have shed some tears of joy after my first bite. 9. Samantha Young just released a new adult book titled, Into the Deep. I read it this week and I liked it but not as much as her Dublin series. This one felt very much like….new adult. The hero and heroine fall in love at the age of sixteen and then something bad happens Continue Reading

10. Zomg, the final eight episodes of Breaking Bad start this Sunday. Someone hold me!!! On another TV note - we are three episodes into Orange is the New Black and we looooove. So well done. Funny and lots of boobs showing for the hubs. *wink* 9. If you have yet to subscribe, Fiction Vixen and I sent out our first monthly newsletter called, How Many Licks. This month’s theme was Western Romance and we had Lorelei James contribute some sexy facts to the list. Next month we will feature Continue Reading

10. The naughty corner is a good thing, right? 9. Last week during the RWA conference, the Ritas and Golden Heart winners were announced! You can see a list of the winners HERE. I was happy to see Laura Griffin win for Scorched. I think she is one of the best romantic suspense authors out there. I also adore Sarah Morgan’s contemporaries. And Sarah MacLean has a nice historical voice. 8. I think Derby Girl by Tamara Morgan is one of the most striking covers I’ve seen. I love Continue Reading

10. I don’t know about you guys, but I have a Sharknado hangover. One of the cheesiest movies I’ve ever seen, also one of the most epic. I’m not sure I’ve heard my kids laugh quite so hard as they did last night. The best part? (well besides Ian Ziering cutting his way out of a shark with a chainsaw) was watching the movie while watching Twitter. It was an epic Twitter event. I love you Twitter. 9. When I saw She’s Got Dibs by AJ Nuest rec’d over at Fiction Vixen and then saw a rec from Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–July 5th
10. I’m home from the beach. We survived. The adults went out one night and we met a man named ‘Manly.’ I’m not kidding. His parents named him after a character on Little House on the Prairie. Although the Manly I met looked nothing like his namesake. And then my friend Melissa was all – omg, I was named after Melissa Gilbert! And there was bonding and such. Never a dull moment at the beach. 9. The next book by Julie James, coming April 2014 will be titled: It Happened One Wedding. I’m Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten-June 28th
Holla!! Since Mandi and May are off doing fun interesting things without me (how rude), I’m doing this weeks Top Ten. wooohoooo 1. I’m heading to Book Bash tomorrow. Touted the “largest single day author signing in the USA”, this 4 hour long signing has over 100 authors and a majority are going to be fan-girled by yours truly. I’m also meeting up with the lovely Jen from FictionVixen. 2. Thanks to @has_bookpusher for this heads up. Monster porn takes Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–June 21st
10. I leave for the beach tomorrow morning. And look - Joe M is waiting at our beach house pool. I’ve invited him to be my pool boy for the week. Look at that smirk – he is saying, come on down Smexy. I’ve got something for you. What do you have for me Joe? A pool noodle in your pants?? I’m going to jump in and bounce off those abs. And then we are going to lotion each other up. And then do other unsavory things. BE JEALOUS. We have much more to discuss about Mr. Manganiello in this top Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten–June 14th
10. School is done. Summer has officially started. Summer also means eating healthier. And by that I mean, fermented grapes. *grins* 9. Book news: Ruthie Knox has announced she is writing a New Adult series under the name Robin York set to release in 2014. Goodreads is now showing the release date of Burned by Karen Marie Moning as April 22, 2014 instead of January. SADNESS. Sylvia Day makes an announcement about the release date of Crossfire #4. Olivia Cunning will have the first in her Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top 10 – June 7
Actually, it's May's smexy top 10 this week! Are you ready? I am going to be surprisingly book-relevant and appropriate this week. There will be no talk of lady boners or peens, nope. Well... not too much. There is so much going on and as day 1 of summer break begins, the temps are over 100 here and I could use a cocktail. It's 5pm somewhere, right? Onward! 10. Mandi and Tori are off at Lori Foster's event this weekend. If I were going I'd follow Shiloh Walker around and hope I could Continue Reading
Smexy’s Top Ten (But not really)–May 31st
I’ve been out of town this week at the Book Expo of America’s Book Blogger Conference and my youngest has a field trip today so I have had no time to do a top ten list. Sadness! I will say the Blogger Convention was fun. I was on a panel with Sarah from Smart Bitches, Jim Hines, and Rebecca from Book Riot and we talked about how we built our blog audience, how bloggers need to be honest and credible and we had some laughs. I also had a chance to go to the Cosmo Red-Hot Reads launch Continue Reading
